Profile
Shekinah Munthali-Mkandawire is a Lecturer in Human Nutrition in the Department of Public and Environmental Health Sciences at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences. She has expertise in health and nutrition-related research, with a focus on evaluating lifestyle factors, project management, monitoring and evaluation, and analyzing policy and institutional frameworks to improve food security and nutrition in developing countries.
Her research interests include nutrient-drug interactions and non-communicable diseases. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Clinical and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Exeter, where her research focuses on developing interventions to support people with type 2 diabetes in sub-Saharan Africa to adopt and sustain lifestyle changes.
